I’ve got to come out and say this otherwise I’ll burst…

The more I talk to my team about this, and train my Bootcampers on how to get ready for it, the more I realise that this May exam is quite possibly the greatest opportunity to get into medical school possibly ever, but definitely in the 13+ years we’ve been doing this.

The changes to the online exam don’t make it as difficult as many people think (you’ll know what I mean if you’ve been following my stuff), especially because the adaptations ACER have incorporated to make up for the changes make it more doable (that’s if you take the right approach).

The adaptations over-compensate, if you ask me.

This is GOOD.

Especially when you apply what we’re going to talk about on this Thursday’s live training session about the science section.

But now it’s up to you to seize this opportunity. 

As the old saying goes: You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

So drink, people!

Seize the hell out of it and go like crazy!

I want to make a point that it’s not necessarily going to be easier, or easy. It also doesn’t mean you can take it easier, or easy.

Things are not just going to fall into your lap.

In fact, it’s the opposite.

Like I’ve been telling my doctor clients, now is not the time to sit back and relax. Even though patient numbers are down all over the country (people don’t want to see their GPs in person) and elective surgery has been cancelled, now is not the time to rest. Your average folk might be at home watching Netflix and getting drunk. 

But not for the leaders, or those who want to be leaders.

Now is the time to step up, step forward and make it happen. 

It’s time to work your butt off, on the right things, to seize the opportunities so that when things are back up and running, and other people are working their butts of 4 times as hard as they were before the lockdowns with only half the reward, you can collect on all the hard work you’ve been doing now.

And at that point you will be in a far more advanced situation because you made the most of this time.

Same applies to you in the GAMSAT now.

Now is your time to do it.
