How to get MORE marks by doing LESS study

That’s right,
More marks by doing less study.
That’s not a typo, and also not some clickbait thing.
It’s 100% true, and proven.
Here’s an example:
Brendon James did the GAMSAT twice –
First time was a ‘trial’.
He got a shyt score.
Second time he took it much more seriously. He read up about the exam, got textbooks, practice papers, even hired a tutor. Put in more study hours than ever before, all while working a job, and his score…
Increased by only 1 mark.
One.
He was gutted.
All the hard work, grinding, and frustration lead to almost nothing.
Then he attended this, applied all the lessons in there, ended up doing less study than for his previous attempt,
And,
Increased his score by 10 marks, getting himself into the University of Notre Dame.
Boom.
It’s amazing how when you study in a way that works, a way that’s relevant to this exam, and in a way that is personalised you, you can do seemingly impossible things…
More specifically:
In the free live training Brendan attended and in the Bootcamp, which he later joined, we taught him a set of principles about the GAMSAT that changed the way he thought about this exam – making his study more effective.
We also taught him specific study techniques that are aligned with what the GAMSAT is testing, so he could more quickly develop the right skills and knowledge.
And we gave him the study materials to actually do it so the effort and time he put into his study paid off much more than ever before.
All of which meant that he could get more marks by doing less study.
And it’s happened to our students over and over again starting with what we cover here.
Now,
This is obviously a not-so-well-disguised teaser to invite you to come along to said training and get a taste of what studying far more effectively (and our Bootcamp) looks like.
I make no apologies for that.
If anyone hasn’t realised by now that we have a program you can get then… ah… GAMSAT isn’t their biggest problem right now.
(We have a simple business model: We help you for free and if you like it and want more you can purchase something)
Either way,
The live training session will teach you a lot
(see the PS below for a list of topics we’ll cover).
But on a mildly irrelevant tangent:
My Head-Tutor just handed me a sample lesson plan for a new S3 lecture series we’re running in the lead up to March 2022.
I’m excited.
It combines some of the best techniques we’re learnt over the last 14 years in the business, and having over 50,000 people come through our stuff, and will teach you the GAMSAT sciences more quickly, effectively and in the most useful way possible.
(There’s nothing more annoying than studying the textbooks for months and getting nowhere)
It’s the next level.
And the way it’s panning out,
This is going to make Brendan’s story look… well… slow.
People how apply this are going to be faster and more effective than ever before.
Point being,
If you study more effectively, you can get further, faster and more enjoyably… even in the horrible and scary GAMSAT.
Nonetheless, this isn’t magic.
You’ll still need to do the work, put in the effort and challenge yourself to be able to apply the lessons on the day of the exam.
Here’s the link to join the training to learn about how to do this in the essay section.
Cheers,
Dr “Do less and go further” Tom
P.S. Here are just a few of the things we’ll address in the training:
* The #1 thing that GAMSAT markers are looking for in your essays (they let it slip in a recent document we uncovered) – if you don’t have this it doesn’t matter how many practice essays you write or how amazing a writer you are, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get a shockingly bad score.
* A simple and effective way to come up with almost endless interesting essay ideas…and do it in seconds even if you have the imagination of a brick and less knowledge about the theme than said brick (we learnt from a Journalist who writes to a deadline for a living).
* Two essay structures that have helped to increase essay scores by 25 points and created doctors out of people who barely spoke the language, like Donghxu from China who ended up getting into UQ (I’ll use him as a case study).
* An often overlooked technique to impress the marker with your thinking, argument and flow of ideas… even if you don’t really have any.
* The three steps you need to take right now to be ready for whatever essay topic they throw at you in the exam, even if you’re stressed and feel like this exam is a write-off.
* Why friends who review each other’s essays are probably going to score far worse than someone who applies this proven strategy to making sure your essays are in the 70+ range (even if English is your second language and you’re a science student who’s terrible at essays).
* How to deal with the timeframe so you can get it done without panic and articulate your best ideas.
* Why the essay section is the EASIEST place to increase your score – most people will tell you it’s the hardest!
* My single best way to make your essays stand out from the THOUSANDS of others you are competing against.
*And much more.
